Daily Radar
We know it sounds weird and wild, but trust us, once you see the game in action you'll almost understand why it has, at times, totally dominated not only the Daily Radar office, but that of our parent company Imagine media as a whole.

Samba de Amigo is a seminal title amongst the Dreamcasts mighty games catalogue, a game that truly stands out. The best music game there is.

Like "Mario Party," " Bust-A-Groove," and even "Tetris" and assorted Tetris-clones, Samba De Amigo forces you to have a good time despite the fact that you don't want to caught dead shaking a pair of plastic maracas in front of your friends.

Quite simply fantastic. The most universally appealing Dreamcast title yet.

Forget all that other FPS and Sports nonsense and just say a quick prayer to Sonic Team for delivering some Mexican mana from heaven.

A brutally addictive, bizarrely entertaining game. I've never seen anything like it before, and it will haunt me for the rest of my days. But man, is it fun!
IGN
A product that is so energetic, so imaginative, so enjoyable that one can't help but be a slave to the shake.

Once you see this game in action, you'll be begging to try it yourself, and that's when you'll be hooked. It's as simple as that.
Sega X
Recent studies conducted by my crack team of scientists (*cough* The D-Spot Staff) show that it is physically impossible to not enjoy Samba De Amigo, no matter how good or bad you may be.
Game Fan
Good fun alone and an absolute riot in groups, you will have a tough time finding a music game that pleases like Sonic Team's colorful creation.
Dreamcast HQ
A simple, yet incredibly fun game.
GameSpot
The graphics back up the audio perfectly, and the result is the best-looking music/rhythm game ever released.

It's different, distinctive, looks great, and has an infectious soundtrack to match the addictive gameplay.

What could've turned out disastrous is instead one of the most addictive and enjoyable dancing games to see release on US shores.

Sonic Team has worked their magic and put together a highly original, extremely fun game that anyone can play.

It's a must-have if you bust your Dreamcast out at parties, but not a must-have for everyone's collection.

It's a lot harder to get the full fruity experience that is Samba de Amigo without the maracas. Unfortunately, the maraca controllers -- which are sold separately -- will set gamers back 80 bucks a pair.
DC Swirl
The real star of this game is the music, and SOA has wisely licensed a truckload of popular latin songs (or very good covers) that would liven up any party.

Without the maracas, this game turns into a bad version of "Parappa the Rapper." A REALLY bad version.
